Choosing the right appointment

Booking the right appointment length helps ensure there is enough time to properly address your healthcare needs.

Complex Appointment — 40 minutes

Please book a complex appointment if you have three or more health concerns, several issues to discuss, or your consultation is likely to require a more detailed review.

New Patient — 20 minutes

For patients seeing Loretta for the first time. This allows time to discuss your medical history, current concerns and ongoing healthcare needs.

Standard Appointment — 20 minutes

Suitable for most routine consultations, including new symptoms, follow-up of ongoing health concerns, medication review, results and general primary care.

Short Appointment — 10 minutes

For one simple concern, such as:

  • repeat prescription

  • medical/carers cert

  • brief follow-up/simple results review

  • straightforward referral

Women’s Health — 20 minutes

For contraception, cervical screening, menstrual concerns, menopause/perimenopause, STI screening and other women’s health concerns.

Phone Consult — 10–20 minutes

For suitable concerns that can be safely managed by phone, including follow-up, results, repeat prescriptions, referrals and general advice.

A prescription or referral cannot always be provided without appropriate clinical assessment. Depending on your healthcare needs, a face-to-face consultation or further investigation may be required..
